Blake has been an athlete his entire life, with a diverse background in baseball, football, basketball, track, and martial arts. His journey in weightlifting began at the age of 13, when he discovered a love for the discipline that has since shaped his life and career.
In 2009, he embraced the CrossFit revolution, attempting workouts in his garage. This grassroots beginning led to the launch of CrossFit 513 in 2011, which was later rebranded as CrossFit Blue Ash in 2013—a name that represents his commitment to creating transformative fitness or his local community.
Over the past 14 years, Blake has dedicated himself to helping thousands of members find health and happiness through functional fitness. He has a deep passion for teaching and strives to instill in others the same love for movement that has defined his own life. His goal has always been to foster an environment where every individual feels empowered to pursue a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Blake’s credentials include a Level 2 CrossFit Coach Certification (earned in 2012) along with several specialized certifications such as the OPEX CCP in Exercise Physiology and Assessment, Program Design, as well as CrossFit’s Competitor’s Course, Powerlifting Course, and Weightlifting Course.
Blake’s career is defined by a passion for athletic excellence and a commitment to empowering others. He believes that fitness is not just about physical strength—it’s about building resilience, fostering community, and finding joy in every step of the journey.
